CROTCH STRAP 101
Divers transitioning from jacket BCD-style diving to more advanced diving where a harness and wing are required will quickly be introduced to the crotch strap. In fact, if the jacket BCD had a crotch strap it would fit better and move better in the water.
A common question we get is if a crotch strap is uncomfortable? No they are not. Do you really need one? Yes! We help trouble shoot issues new divers have in their BP/Wing set up and the first recommendation we almost always have is, "be sure you are wearing a crotch strap!
